It is that time of year again - leaders from around Africa have been arriving in Pretoria, South Africa, for their annual leadership meetings. This is always a time of joy, as those representing ministries and regions from around the continent have an opportunity to renew friendships, to catch up on news and to be refreshed in one another’s company.

This year is no different and although there are some ALT members still to arrive, the first session this evening was a time for the leaders to share news from their personal lives … to be honest about the cost of serving and giving leadership in missions over the long term, and also to give thanks together for God’s faithfulness. Stories from
Madagascar,
Zambia,
North Africa,
Nigeria and
South Africa flowed from one to another and, as one person prayed, it was as if after all had shared there was “a pile of God’s goodness and faithfulness” gathered together.
We will be providing a daily update from the Africa Leadership Team meetings all this week. Check back for more from the different regions of Africa, and to find out how the ALT is setting the direction for us as YWAM across the continent. And don’t forget to pray for the outcome of these meetings: our leaders need our prayers!
